CCCS has one chrysanthemum cuttings sale to the public: at the end of April/ beginning of May in Raleigh North Carolina at the State Farmer’s Market. Expert CCCS club members are available to give growing advice. These cuttings are propagated by CCCS members locally.

Yes, chrysanthemums can grow in the home garden. They are heavy feeders placed in well-drained soil. They are hardy to 27 degrees, mulching over winter or covering a freeze cloth. Do not cover it with plastic.
Your Chrysanthemum does NOT require fertilizer in October. Once a bud begins to show a little color ( usually in October), the nitrogen in the fertilizer could ROT the bloom.
